State jobless filings fall for third straight week

OKLAHOMA CITY – The number of initial unemployment insurance claims declined slightly for a third consecutive week yet remain high, with nearly 275,000 Oklahomans out of work because of the ongoing energy crisis and COVID-19-related job losses.

County GOP, Republican Women nix meetings

LAWTON – In light of the meeting restrictions put in place by state and local officials concerning the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, the Comanche County Republican Party and the Great Plains Republican Women are canceling their meetings for the month of May.

Bad investment turns golden

When Lynn and Susie Johnson made the decision to purchase an electrostatic sprayer, they had never heard of the coronavirus or COVID-19. Two years ago, the only thing they had to really be concerned about was the flu. “We actually purchased our equipment two years ago,” Susie Johnson said.
