DUMFRIES, Va. (AP) – After two weeks alone in a hotel room in the Virginia suburbs, 40 minutes outside Washington, Kelsea Mensh was ready to go home. A few weeks earlier, the 22-year-old Peace Corps volunteer had completed a year of service in the Dominican Republic.

In Lawton and some other Oklahoma communities, municipal officials began last week gingerly taking steps to reopen their shuttered cities and towns as the number of coronavirus cases may have crested across the state.

Lilly results beat Street outlook

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – Eli Lilly and Co. (LLY) on Thursday reported first-quarter profit of $1.46 billion. The Indianapolis-based company said it had profit of $1.60 per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $1.75 per share.  The results surpassed Wall Street expectations.
