OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma Conservation Commission workshop scheduled for April 7 in Frederick has been postponed indefinitely due to the evolving Coronavirus public health threat. The workshop was to be held at the Great Plains Technology Center in Frederick.

Elgin church turns to internet for services

Religious services have not escaped the repercussions of the fast-spreading coronavirus pandemic. The Crossroads Baptist Church in Elgin is suspending its regular in-person services for the next two weeks, according to its pastor.

Cameron U. coaches helping concerned citizens

OKLAHOMA CITY – Since all Cameron University athletic contests have been canceled for the remainder of the spring semester, several of the school’s coaches have volunteered to help their neighbors during the (COVID-19) Coronavirus crisis.

More colleges move to online-only classes

Due to the continued spread of COVID-19, Cameron University, Southwestern Oklahoma State University and Western Oklahoma State College have changed course and will all move to distance learning after spring break.
