OREC official discusses bill barring foreign land ownership

LAWTON – The Oklahoma Legislature is considering a bill that would expand the state’s ban on foreign ownership of land, said Bailey Crotty, deputy director of the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission.“We’re really trying to circumvent the ag and land purchases by foreign investors,” she said.

APACHE – Criminal charges that had been pending for 20 months against a former Town Hall employee accused of embezzling almost $400 of municipal funds were dismissed last month.Kelly Lynn Lunsford, 46, of Apache, was accused of stealing town funds on two occasions in July 2023.

OERB awards $523,500 in scholarships to petroleum students
