OKLAHOMA CITY – The state House of Representatives and Senate will hold a series of committee hearings to address utility cost issues arising from the brutal winter storm in February.
Committee members will hear from several industry stakeholders regarding various topics concerning the winter storm utility issues, particularly eye-popping increases in natural gas prices. The goal of the hearings will be to learn what exactly happened and how it can be prevented in the future.
The meetings are scheduled for May 14, 21 and 28 at 9 a.m. in Room 230 of the State Capitol. Legislators expected to attend include Rep. Brad Boles, R-Marlow; Sen. John Michael Montgomery, R-Lawton; Rep. Garry Mize, R-Guthrie; and Sen. James Leewright, R-Bristow.
Meeting times and location are subject to change dependent upon House and Senate session schedules.
