From Staff Reports
The city of Lawton’s new Interactive Voice Response payment system went live Monday.
An IVR system is an efficient way of routing calls to the payment system if a resident needs to pay a utility bill, according to a news release from City Hall. The system will prompt callers through a series of menus and options that will lead them to the correct department.
Residents will be able to communicate by using either the touch-tone keypad selection or voice telephone input.
The system will be utilized without the assistance of a live operator, according to the news release. This reduces the number of people needed to address customer concerns and limits the amount of time skilled CSRs must spend on these routine tasks.
To use the IVR payment system, call (580) 581-3308.
