Bluepeak to host meet-and-greet event in Lawton

LAWTON – The internet service provider Bluepeak will host a meet-and-greet event for Lawton residents from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, June 23, at the Lawton Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce, 302 W. Gore Blvd.

Bluepeak representatives will be on hand to discuss construction of a fiber optic network in Lawton, including a demonstration of the company’s solution to TV streaming. Representatives will also answer any questions about Bluepeak.

In May, Bluepeak broke ground for a high-speed fiber optic network in west Lawton. The company will eventually expand the network to serve the entire city, which will take about three years.

The company has said it will invest about $41 million in the Lawton project.
