Walker, West in runoff for district judge

LAWTON – Jay Walker and Neil West finished first and second, respectively, in Tuesday’s primary election for district judge for District 5, Office 3.

Walker led the pack with 5,268 votes, or 32.70% of the total, according to unofficial election results, West came in second with 5,253 votes, or 32.61% of the total.

Steven Crow finished third with 3,399 votes, or 21.10% of the total. Tommy Sims rounded out the field with 2,190 votes, or 13.59%.

Since neither Walker nor West captured a simple majority of the vote – 50% plus one – they will both advance to the Aug. 23 runoff election.
