LAWTON – The United Way of Southwest Oklahoma will host its fifth annual Blue Tie Gala Sept. 9 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Lawton.
This year’s event has a “Wanderlust” theme and will feature entertainment by the Royal Dukes Band.
In addition to the entertainment, silent and live auctions will be held to benefit 23 local human service programs in education, income stability, health and basic needs that are provided through the United Way’s 19 funded partner organizations, United Way officials said in a news release.
“I am excited for our fifth annual campaign kickoff event, as we can safely meet in person after two years,” said President and CEO Lauren Ellis. “Last year’s online auction was a huge success, and I am looking forward to another sold-out evening of entertainment and inspiration as we celebrate the beginning of our annual fundraising campaign.
“The community’s support of this event means so much to our organization, and we plan to make it an evening to remember!”
Sponsorship opportunities are still available, with packages ranging from $500 to $3,000. Individual tickets may be purchased for $75.
