City to host series of meetings about Lawton parks

Over the next couple of months, the city of Lawton will host public meetings to discuss the future of city parks in each ward.

City representatives and each council member will be at the meetings, representing their ward.

All meetings will take place at 5:30 pm. in the Lawton City Hall Auditorium.

Here’s the meeting schedule:

* Ward 1: Thursday.

* Ward 3: Oct. 6.

* Wards 2, 4 and 8: Oct.13.

* Ward 5: Oct. 20.

* Wards 6 and 7: Oct. 27.

If people are unable to attend but want to make a statement or have suggestions, they should contact their council person prior to the meeting. Contact information for council members can be found at www.lawtonok.gov.
