Lawton Area Transit System to host public meeting October 21st

Body

The Lawton Area Transit System will host a public meeting from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Oct. 21 in the Stanley Heywood Room at the Owens Multi-Purpose Center.

The meeting is to discuss improvements regarding bus routes, bus stops and accommodations which best meet the needs of our community. Whether you ride the bus every day or just need an alternative method of transportation occasionally, we are all stakeholders in the success of the program.

Along with developing the most efficient and useful routes for the community, the meeting is to hear what changes should be considered on updating the bus stops, so they are safe and provide proper access.

Participation from the public gives necessary direction for LATS to provide outstanding service and access to the Citizens of Lawton.

Arvest Bank will be serving hot dogs, and LATS will have a table map of the proposed routes. The event is free for everyone to attend.
