Four candidates enter Comanche County sheriff’s race

LAWTON – Four candidates are competing to replace outgoing Comanche County Sheriff Kenny Stradley, who is not seeking reelection this year.

Republican candidates Andy Moon, Michael Merritt and Dell Galloway will square off in the GOP primary election, set for June 18. If a runoff prima ry election is needed, it will take place Aug. 27.

The winner of the GOP primary will face Democrat David Stroud, who did not draw an opponent, in the November general election.

Three county officials – County Clerk Carrie Tubbs, Court Clerk Robert Morales and District 2 Com missioner Johnny Owens – were unopposed in their bids f or another term.
