OKLAHOMA CITY – Multiple Oklahoma pharmacies have agreed to pay $157,000 to settle False Claims Act allegations that they billed SoonerCare, Oklahoma’s Medicaid program, for hundreds of unauthorized over-the-counter COVID-19 tests.
Apothecary Pharmacy, Cornwell Pharmacy, Cushing Family Pharmacy, R.T.’s Family Discount Pharmacy, Foster Corner Drug, Tiger Drug, Yale Drug, Jones Drug Store, and Swipht Pharmacy agreed to the settlement after an investigation by the state Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit.
The investigation was handled by Assistant Attorney General Jamie Bloyd and agents Justin Brown and Daniel Shcolnik.
The Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office Medicaid Fraud Control Unit receives 75% of its funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services under a grant award totaling $4,765,464 for federal Fiscal Year 2026. The remaining 25%, totaling $1,588,483 for FY 2026, is funded by the State of Oklahoma.
