The City of Lawton Housing and Community Development Division recently released a statement asking residents to provide input to help guide how federal housing and community development funds are being used in the community.
Lawton has programs that support housing improvements, neighborhood revitalization, and services that benefit lowand moderate- income residents. These include the Community Development Block Grant Program and the HOME Investment Partnerships Program, both administered by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
As part of the city’s planning process, residents are encouraged to complete a confidential community needs survey. Feedback will help shape Lawton’s Consolidated Plan, which serves as the city’s application for federal funding and outlines priorities for housing and community development programs.
The survey can be completed online at: https:// bit.ly/4lw8IEM. Community members are asked to submit their responses by April 15.
Questions should be directed to the City’s Housing Division at (580) 581- 3347.
