OKLAHOMA CITY – The state Department of Human Services video conferencing program is a finalist for the State IT Recognition Awards.
The award showcases state government technology initiatives that exemplify innovation and best practices, support public policy goals and provide cost effective services to citizens, said Bo Reese, Oklahoma chief information officer. The video conferencing solution reduces time and cost for citizens.
The video conferencing solution benefits statewide training, meetings and administrative court hearings by permitting DHS staff, Oklahoma judges and Oklahoma citizens to participate remotely from a PC or mobile phone from any location.
“Nearly one-third of all Oklahomans receive DHS services and increasing DHS employees’ time to dedicate to Oklahoma citizens is immeasurable,” said Steven Harpe, deputy director.
