Lawton set to adopt new ward boundaries Jan. 26

LAWTON — Lawton Redistricting Commission is moving one step closer to adopting a new voting ward map. The commission hosted a public hearing Jan. 14 about the new map, which sets boundaries for Lawton’s eight voting wards.

County puts off acting on premium wages

LAWTON – Saying it needed more information, the Board of Comanche County Commissioners delayed action Monday on negotiations over possible premium pay for certain workers.

LAWTON – The Board of Comanche County Commissioners postponed on Monday a closed session to discuss employee-related negotiations to review possible premium pay for a certain group of workers.

County changes certification process for MMJ businesses

LAWTON – Comanche County is changing the way it handles certificates of compliance for medical marijuana-related businesses.

County signs off on new rural water district

LAWTON — The Board of Comanche County Commissioners signed off Monday on the Pecan Valley Waterworks Association’s request to organize a rural water district.   The board voted 3-0 to grant the request, which will free up federal dollars for upgrades.
