LAWTON – Although Governor Stitt rescinded the COVID-19 state of emergency in Oklahoma on Tuesday, the mask mandate at the Comanche County Courthouse remains in effect for several more weeks.

LAWTON – Although the mask mandate for Lawton businesses has been repealed, facial covering still is required in City Hall and inside other municipal buildings, at the Comanche County Courthouse, on the Fort Sill Army post, and in many areas at the State Capitol.

COVID-19 closes courthouse again

LAWTON – For the second time this year, the Comanche County Courthouse will be closed to the public for several weeks because of the statewide resurgence of the coronavirus. District 2 County Commissioner Johnny Owens said the courthouse doors would be locked after 4 p.m.

LAWTON – After a 74-day shutdown because of the coronavirus threat, the Comanche County Courthouse will reopen to the public June 1. The building will operate on shorter hours, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
