DUNCAN – City officials spent more than $25,000 on new tablets so Duncan firefighters can operate more efficiently when communicating with police officers and the dispatch center. The Duncan City Council authorized the expense at the April 27 meeting.

DUNCAN – Burkes Outlet Stores Inc., a privately held name-brand clothing, beauty aids and home goods retailer owned by Beall’s Inc., will open a new location in Duncan’s Elk Plaza.

Several dozen bicycles recovered by the Duncan Police Department were declared surplus January 26 by the Duncan City Council and subsequently donated for Christmas gifts.
