Lawton council welcomes Harris, swears in Booker, Hankins for second terms

LAWTON — Lawton City Council said goodbye Monday to an outgoing councilman and welcomed his replacement. The council hosted a swearing-in ceremony for Mayor Stan Booker, returning Councilwoman Mary Ann Hankins and incoming Councilman Kelly Harris in the City Hall Auditorium.

LAWTON — Lawton Mayor Stan Booker won a three-way race for mayor Tuesday night, defeating challengers Sherene Williams and Palmer Moore Jr. Booker cruised to victory with 2,660 votes, or 63.08% of the total, according to unofficial election results. Williams came in second with 1,320 votes, or 31.
