An Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality official has been selected to serve on the Water Environment Federation’s Board of Trustees. Shellie Chard, water quality division director for DEQ, is a native of Oklahoma and a graduate of Del City High School.

Conservation Commission volunteers monitor water quality

OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma Conservation Commission is nearing the end of this year’s “Blue Thumb” statewide citizen science program. In Blue Thumb, the commission trains volunteers to monitor creeks and streams and share their knowledge of water quality with others.
