LAWTON — Albert Johnson Jr.’s path to a military career began with his father. When Johnson was a student at Lawton High School, his father pushed him to join the Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps program during his sophomore year.

LAWTON – Cameron University will host a series of events honoring active-duty and retired members of the U.S. armed forces on Veterans Day, Nov. 11. The events will begin with a complimentary meal for active soldiers and veterans from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.
