LAWTON — Lawton Public Library is celebrating Picture Book Month with a picture book contest in November.   Contestants are asked to write and illustrate a winter-themed picture book, according to a news release from the library. Entries must be on paper measuring 17 inches long by 11 inches high.

LAWTON – The Friends of the Lawton Public Library will host its annual book sale April 15-18 at Lawton Central Mall. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the Lawton Public Library. The sale will take place from 4-7 p.m. April 15, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 16 and 17 and noon to 4 p.m. April 18.

LAWTON – A $20,000 grant from the Oklahoma Historical Society to finance a digital conversion/memory lab at the Lawton Public Library was accepted Tuesday by the City Council.
