‘Economic boycott’ squabble could affect Oklahoma utility

OKLAHOMA CITY — Legislators have filed nine bills that would require the state of Oklahoma and its subdivisions to refuse to do business with any company that engages in “economic boycotts.” And a related bill would forbid investment of public funds in any company based in a communist country.

County declares emergency for cooling tower repairs

LAWTON — The Comanche County Board of Commissioners took care Jan. 17 of housekeeping matters, which included taking steps to repair the cooling tower at the courthouse. The commission voted 3-0 to declare an emergency for fixing the cooling tower, as authorized by District Attorney Kyle Cabelka.
