FHFA sells $28.7B in delinquent loans

WASHINGTON – The Federal Housing Finance Agency reported it shed almost $29 billion in delinquent loans. The agency released the latest report on the sale of nonperforming loans by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (“the Enterprises”).

Registration opens for library academy classes

H.E. Bailey project could pave way for higher speed limits

LAWTON – Rehabilitation of a 16-mile stretch of the H.E. Bailey Turnpike is part of an ongoing project that could allow speed limits to be raised on the heavily traveled corridor connecting Lawton to the Oklahoma City metro area.

LAWTON – Hot, dry weather and an increased risk of wildfires prompted the Comanche County Board of Commissioners to approve a countywide burn ban.

City delays action on future of wading pools

LAWTON – Lawton City Council will wait to decide the future of three wading pools until the city has a master plan for aquatic attractions in hand. The council recently directed staff to draw up a plan for the city’s municipal pool, splash pads and wading pools.
