Some lawmakers, tribal leaders call for special session amid funding cuts; DHS to furlough 2,300

OKLAHOMA CITY – While Democrats in the Oklahoma Legislature and several tribal officials called for a special session for supplemental nutritional funding, Republican leaders in the House and Senate said Friday the state’s Contingency Review Board would meet next week to address the issue.

Chickasha advertising for bids on new water treatment plant

The Chickasha Municipal Authority began soliciting bids this week on construction of a new water treatment plant.On Sept. 2 the CMA authorized City Manager Jim Crosby to begin advertising for bids on the project.
