Comanche County: Cache sets bond vote for school expansion, fieldhouse

CACHE – Over the past three decades, the average class size at Cache Middle School has grown from about 60 students in the mid-1980s to more than 150 students today. “You can see how much we’ve grown since that building’s been built,” Cache Superintendent Chad Hance said Monday.

Lawton OKs $2M more in funding for FISTA

LAWTON – Lawton City Council has granted the FISTA Development Trust Authority’s request for an additional $2 million, which will come from the city’s 2019 Industrial Development Capital Improvement Projects fund. The council voted 7-0 Tuesday to approve the request. Councilman Jay Burk was absent.

Lawton names Williams its new fire chief

LAWTON – A 22-year veteran of the Lawton Fire Department has been tapped to lead the department.  Elgin native Jared Williams was named the new fire chief Tuesday, Lawton City Manager Michael Cleghorn’s office announced.
