LAWTON – The Comanche County Courthouse will remain closed for two more weeks, Central District County Commissioner Johnny Owens announced January 29. The building was closed to the general public on November 25, 2020, because of an increase in COVID-19 cases in the county and across the state.

LAWTON – For the second time this year, the Comanche County Courthouse will be closed to the public for several weeks because of the statewide resurgence of the coronavirus. District 2 County Commissioner Johnny Owens said the courthouse doors would be locked after 4 p.m.

LAWTON – A vote on a proposal to extend Comanche County’s threeeighths of a cent sales tax for 10 years will be held next spring. Comanche County’s commissioners Tuesday morning unanimously endorsed a resolution that scheduled the election for March 2, 2021.
