Lawton, Texas Roadhouse team up to support UW

LAWTON —The city of Lawton is teaming up with Texas Roadhouse for a to-go slider fundraiser to benefit United Way of Southwest Oklahoma.   The event will run from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Friday in the lobby of City Hall, 212 SW Ninth St. in Lawton.

United Way kicks off 2021 fundraising campaign

LAWTON — The chairman of United Way of Southwest Oklahoma’s 2021 fundraising campaign is confident that the organization will surpass this year’s goal, he said. “We are going to raise that money and go above and beyond,” said Hossein Moini.

United Way to hold online fundraiser

United Way of Southwest Oklahoma will embark on a unique fundraising event Tuesday to help 17 nonprofit agencies that are “hurting” because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“There’s absolutely potential (for the virus) to force some charities to close permanently. The ramifications could still be hitting in a year to a year-and-a-half when we’ll see (charitable organization) mergers.”
