Gov. Stitt to keynote Stephens County GOP Fish Fry

DUNCAN – Later this month Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt will be the keynote speaker at this year’s Stephens County GOP Fish Fry. The annual fundraiser draws Republicans from across the Sooner State to the Stephens County Fairgrounds and Expo Center in Duncan.

Filing period for Lawton City Council set for June 13-15

LAWTON – The terms for Lawton City Council members representing Wards 3, 4 and 5 will expire in January 2023. Here’s some information for people who are considering running for one of those council seats: The filing period will take place June 13-15.

Lawton OKs agreement with Youth Sports Trust Authority

LAWTON – The Lawton City Council signed off Tuesday on an agreement to provide support for the Lawton Youth Sports Trust Authority through the end of the fiscal year.

Election Board nixes candidate’s moniker

OKLAHOMA CITY – State Rep. Sean Roberts can remain on the ballot as a candidate for State Labor Commissioner, but not with a nickname. The State Election Board ruled 3-0 on April 25 to strike “The Patriot” from Roberts’ name as it will appear on the Republican primary ballot.

FORT SILL – In support of the Department of Defense’s goal to enhance the resilience of federal infrastructure, Corvias has installed water and energy savings systems into more than 1,600 homes at Fort Sill’s Army training base.
